5 Best Books to Read to Your Toddler

best books to read to your toddler

My kids love books. We have piles and piles of books in our living room, their playroom, their bedroom and the basement. They love to read and we can’t complain! It’s a great screen-free activity too!

When my kids were toddlers, we had a few favorites that we would read almost every day. My two year old still enjoys these favorites from time to time.

These are my recommended five best books to read to your toddler.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Board Book

This book is a classic dating back to when I was a kid. My toddler knows it so well that he even points out each of the food items. It’s a must read and one of the best books to read to your toddler.

Bedtime For Batman Board Book

This is a great book to introduce your toddler to a superhero in a fun and loving way. It’s easy for your toddler to understand. It’s not scary and there are a lot of colorful pictures throughout.

Our favorite part of the book is the “checklist” at the end of the book. Check it out for yourself!

I Love Trucks! Board Book

My two year old son absolutely LOVES trucks. This is the perfect book to introduce him to trucks you see in everyday life. It also rhymes. Win-win.

Elmo’s Big Lift-and-Look Book

What kid doesn’t like Sesame Street? I don’t know of many. This is more of a “seek and find” book as your toddler works on their fine motor skills and enjoys the mystery of what is behind each flap!

Time For Bed Board Book

I have this book memorized. It’s so cute and we read this book almost every night to our toddler as we lay him down in his crib. It’s a precious book.

I love the list of books you outlined here. I wish more people would be addicted to reading instead of social media.
